The second is the customer service or claim handling of the insurance companies. Every company processes claims differently. I have personally received money from an insurance company due to claim filed because one of their clients hit my vehicle in less than 24 hours. Most insurance companies are not able to facilitate such service at that speed. The best way that you can check how strong a company is to check the companies AM Best Rating. Reading about other insured's experience online is also helpful. The other thing to keep in mind is what technological assistance do they have? Do they have a website where you can create an account and have access to your documents or make payments? Do they have an application on the Apple or Android market? The last things that one should consider when choosing an insurance company are how long have they been around? should I use and agent or go through a company that I can access directly? What are the pros and cons of either option? Can I find one place that can handle all of my insurance needs? This list can also vary depending on the type of insurance product that you are looking for.
